I am hoping none of you will notice how late this "May" news letter is coming to you. The Market has been going really good and we have been busy trying new things. For example, we participated in Bainbridge's River Town Days with a booth showcasing some of our goodies. Nan and I really enjoyed meeting new customers and seeing some of our regular customers or "friends" for that is how we feel about you all! I loved sharing our story of how we ended up here in wonderful southwest Georgia selling fresh produce and yummy food. Where we lived ,and even here, it bothered me that you live around this beautiful countryside or gorgeous farm land, well then by golly you should be able to reap it's benefits!.... and so started Harvest Moon Market! By buying locally grown, fresh produce you eat better and help to support your local economy and farmers! It's a win win situation! Now you know this but I would be amiss not to repeat this for as you well know we don't grow "everything" in Georgia. But Harvest Moon Market tries to grow a variety of vegetables in our garden first, second, we buy from "local" area farmers, third, to supplement what we are missing we buy from Atlanta's Farmer Market. We do our best to have "fresh" and abundant fruits & vegetables along with some good old fashion jam & jellies, dairy, syrups etc.....that you just don't find everyday! Ok I am stepping down from my soapbox..... Just a friendly reminder that this coming Saturday May 19th is our monthly gift basket give away (spend $5 or more EVERY TIME you shop and receive a ticket for the drawing) and we are pleased to announce that, local author Patsy M. Henry, is coming for a visit with her bunnies and books! From 11 am till 1pm....the books are entertaining and make wonderful gifts. Let Patsy tell you her interesting story of how she came to be an author and where the inspiration began for her books! Hope to see you! Your Friends, Marla, Nan, Robert & Buddy
