Wow! is it really May already? We have been open 2 months already and it sure
doesn't seem like it. Unfortunately like most of the farmers around here we are
approximately 2 weeks behind on our growing due to the lingering cold weather
and a lot of rain! But as most farmers know, you do what you can and farm on! So
most everything is planted and waiting on some sunshine and warm weather to help
it grow. We babied our strawberries through it all and are finally seeing
progress! We have started picking strawberries and have the u-pick open for now
on a limited basis, so please call ahead if you are wanting to pick your own
strawberries. We are bringing in produce from Plant City Florida and should be getting a delivery of Vidalia Onions in any day to hold you all over till we
start producing. We are really excited about our Organic Delivery service that
we started a couple of weeks ago. Everyone who has participated have had all
good things to say about it and we are seeing repeat customers for the next 4
weeks! After my mess up of trying to get the information to you all, I think the
kinks have been worked out for now ;) All the information is available on our
website including the new revised sign-up sheet www.harvestmoonmarketllc.com go to services and
then click on the "From Farm to Table" tab. Please feel free to call us with any
questions here at the market 229-246-6750. Harvest Moon Market would like to
thank all of these businesses that are working with us on the delivery program
by providing space in their stores for your convenience.
So please help us show our gratitude by supporting these businesses!
